2024-2025 Teacher Sessions:
- Session 1: September 26, 2024 Thursday: The session was at the University of Northern Colorado campus, Department of Mathematical Sciences, Ross Hall Room 2270 (second floor).
- Session 2: October 30, 2024 Wednesday:The session will start at 5:15 pm (ends at 7:15 pm) at the University of Northern Colorado campus, Department of Mathematical Sciences, Ross Hall Room 2270 (second floor). It is open to all teachers interested in solving fun math problems. Please RSVP by Monday, October 28th by 5pm. You can contact Dr. Gulden Karakok for questions and cancellations.
- Session 3: November 20, 2024 Wednesday. The session will start at 5:15 pm (ends at 7:15 pm) at the University of Northern Colorado campus, Department of Mathematical Sciences, Ross Hall Room 2270 (second floor). It is open to all teachers interested in solving fun math problems. We will open the RSVP form after October’s session.
- Session 4: March 12, 2025 Wednesday. The session will start at 5:15 pm (ends at 7:15 pm) at the University of Northern Colorado campus, Department of Mathematical Sciences. Room and RSVP form will be posted in January.
- Session 5: mid-April (exact date will be announced in January). The session will start at 5:15 pm (ends at 7:15 pm) at the University of Northern Colorado campus, Department of Mathematical Sciences.
Parking Information: Unfortunately, there is no free parking on UNC campus. The closest UNC parking lot to Ross Hall (11th Ave and 23rd Street) for visitors is Parking Lot C. Check the map to locate Ross Hall (number 12) and parking lot C (blue colored) at the intersection of 11th Ave and 23rd Street.
PAST EVENTS:
Spring 2024: We had three sessions for Teachers only. These events were on Wednesdays, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the University of Northern Colorado campus, Department of Mathematical Sciences, Ross Hall Room 2270 (second floor).
- Session 1: February 21st, 2024 Wednesday: This session was facilitated by Dr. Katie Morrison and Sofia Cole. It is open to all teachers interested in solving fun math problems.
- Session 2: March 20th, 2024 Wednesday: This session was facilitated by Dr. Katie Morrison .
- Session 3: April 17th, 2024 Wednesday-The session was open to all teachers interested in solving fun math problems.
SUMMER 2024: Check out Math in the Mountains, a week-long math program for math teachers at all levels. In 2024 summer, the program was during June 30-July 5, 2024; Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Spring 2023: Our spring session was on March 4th, Saturday from 10am to 12:30pm in Ross Hall room 2090 (on UNC Campus). We had Dr. Beth Malmskog (Colorado College) and Dr. Kathryn Haymaker (Villanova University) facilitate this session.

Fall 2022: Our welcome-back session was on Saturday November 5th, from 10am to 12:30pm in Ross Hall Room 2090 (on UNC Campus). Dr. James Tanton facilitated this session. Check out his website here.
Past Events
The NoCO Math Teachers’ Circle had many past events. We had monthly evening sessions during school years since 2012 Fall until Fall 2019. Due to COVID, we paused our events to be safe. We are working on getting our schedule back to normal. Please check out our pictures below from our past summer workshops.
